Doubt often arrives like an unwanted guest. You didn’t invite it, but suddenly it’s in the room, asking questions your old faith couldn’t handle.
The temptation is to either panic or pretend. A better option is to practice gentle honesty.
Three ways to hold doubt without shame
- Name it. “I’m afraid. I’m uncertain. I don’t know.”
- Stay connected. Keep small rhythms of prayer—borrowed prayers count.
- Ask better questions. Not “How do I make this go away?” but “What is this revealing?”
God is not threatened by your questions. Love can hold complexity.
