Reactionary faith feels urgent. It feeds on outrage and fear. It tells you: respond now, post now, prove now.
But the way of Jesus is often slower—and deeper.
Three anchors when the noise is loud
- Return to the Gospels. Watch Jesus. Notice his pace.
- Practice non-anxious presence. The kingdom is not fragile.
- Choose embodied love. Real people in front of you matter more than internet battles.
Resisting reaction doesn’t mean you stop caring about truth. It means you refuse to be formed by fear.
If you’re rebuilding faith outside the noise, spiritual direction can be a safe, steady place to listen for God. First session free: Work With Me.
